Vasectomy
What is Vasectomy?
A vasectomy is a safe and effective permanent birth control method for men. It involves a minor surgical procedure to cut or block the vas deferens, the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the urethra. This prevents sperm from reaching the semen that is ejaculated during sexual activity, effectively rendering a man sterile. We can provide you with personalised guidance to help you decide if a vasectomy is right for you. If you're considering a vasectomy, don't hesitate to reach out to our team for expert care and support. We're here to help you make informed decisions about your reproductive health.
Dr Pearce has now done in excess of 1400 vasectomies and continues to do them within the practice. In a survey conducted last year 100% of patients would recommend the service to a friend (28% of them already had by the time of the questionnaire). In addition 100% of patients were happy with Dr Pearce as the operator.
The procedure is done within the Practice and is a relatively simple procedure. Patients report a remarkably low level of discomfort from the operation- often as no worse than routine dental procedure.
