Sophie Daking

Sophie graduated with an MSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University. Her career started in NHS gaining a wide range of experience treating the general public to athletes, with a variety of diagnoses and conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. She since worked in private practice in the City of London specialising as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and teaching clinical Pilates, before relocating to Guernsey in 2021.
Sophie has a keen interest in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions however she specialises in spinal conditions, chronic musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain presentations. She also has a keen interest in acute sports injury rehabilitation and prevention; shoulder pain, instability and dysfunction; tendon injuries; pre- & post-natal issues and post-operative rehabilitation. Sophie is also a Clinical Pilates Instructor and is keen to incorporate Pilates into her approach where appropriate. Sophie also currently works closely with the MS Society helping support the MS community.
Treatment approaches include spinal and joint mobilisations, dry needling, shockwave, soft tissues techniques and exercise. Her programs are client-specific and individualised, working in collaboration towards her client’s goals.
Having previously graduated with a BSc in Health Psychology, with experience working in the mental health field, she retains a keen interest in mental health and well-being. She is a good listener and keen to focus on helping her clients work towards their own goals.
