Dr Michael Long

BMBS MRCGP DRCOG MSc (Headache Disorders – University of Copenhagen)

Dr Michael Long moved with his wife to Guernsey and the practice in 2013. Previous to this he had been working in Devon for 5 years.

Dr Michael Long qualified from the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008. Working at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth he gained post-graduate experience in Urology, Healthcare of the Elderly, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology and Neurosurgery. He is passionate about the traditional values of family Medicine and providing the latest evidence based medicine.

Since moving to Guernsey he has developed an interest in ENT and has undertaken further training to provide microsuction for wax removal and the epley manoeuvre for the management of positional vertigo. He is a GP with a special interest in Headache Medicine and is a member of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and the International Headache Society (IHS). He also works at the National Migraine Centre.
